Texas MGAs for Disaster Relief Fund

Inspired by the many “Texans helping Texans,” a collective group of independent Managing General Agents (MGAs) has joined forces to create a donation and relief fund for those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

100% of donations will be used to purchase items requested by emergency coordinators. Items will not be provided to 3rd parties, but instead transported directly to where they are most needed to our impacted Texans. Coordination of relief will be managed with Texas State Senator Larry Taylor, whose district experienced first-hand loss, and who will work with the MGA Disaster Relief Fund to ensure organized aid is provided directly to the region’s victims and families.

This fund was made possible from the leadership with strong commitment to Texas from MGAs that are family owned, independent companies with active, owner participation in organizations such as the Texas Surplus Lines Association (TSLA), Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas (SLTX), Wholesale and Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA), and more. These companies include the following:

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.  Please donate here. As insurance professionals who understand the extent and exposure of loss to policyholders, it is imperative that our industry be a large part of the helping hand to Houston and the affected regions.
