The Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) is now accepting applications for its new Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Council. The council was suggested in 2018 by a Diversity & Inclusion Task Force and approved in January by the RIMS board of directors.

According to the organization’s website, the Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Council “shall continually identify relevant diversity and inclusion (D&I) goals for RIMS to pursue and shall advise RIMS on how best to achieve those goals.” Council responsibilities include developing D&I strategy and objectives, identifying D&I industry and staff needs, assisting in the development of content for whitepapers and news articles, and serving as a resource for RIMS committees and councils.

The council, chaired by former RIMS president Robert Cartwright Jr., will be comprised of 12 members. RIMS is accepting applications through February 15, 2019. All members interested in applying may do so online.
