SLTX reported $1.74B in premium for April. This represents a 7.0% decrease compared to April 2025, while year-to-date premium reached $6.31B, representing a 7.6% increase over the same period in 2025.

59.2% of premium reported (30.6% of items) is attributable to renewal policies, 36.1% (40.7% of items) to new business, and 4.6% (28.7% of items) to non-policy transactions. Furthermore, non-policy transactions are predominately Premium Endorsements (27,411 items or 64.84% of the 28.7%) and Cancellations (12,552 items or 29.69% of the 28.7%). Representations and Warranties coverage rose $19.1 M (or 140.86%). Builders Risk-Property $9.5M (35.02%), Cyber Liability $8.7M (18.31%), and Ocean Marine – Cargo $6.9M (197.67%) coverages also recorded growth.

Average premium per item received was $11,753 for the month, down 23.2% from April 2025, and $11,575 year-to-date, a 12.7% decrease. Total filings increased, with 148,341 items reported in April (up 21.1%) and 545,042 filings year-to-date (up 23.3%).

Non-Texas premium reached $70.4M for April, a 13.5% increase compared to the prior year.

Overall policy counts increased, with 105,726 policies reported in April (up 27.0%) and 380,225 policies year-to-date (up 30.7%) and total premium increased by $445.1M (7.6%) year-to-date compared to 2025.
