Matt Leicht has been installed as President of the Texas Surplus Lines Association (TSLA) for the 2019 year. He took over the position from Immediate Past President Garrett Sprowls at the 2018 TSLA Annual Meeting in Austin. Leicht is co-owner and CEO of Craig & Leicht, an insurance wholesaler based in Houston.

Leicht has been involved in a leadership capacity with TSLA since 2005, when he served on the organization’s Host Committee. He was also involved with the Legislative Committee before serving as a member of the board of directors for three years. In 2017, he joined the Executive Committee as Secretary/Treasurer before taking on the role of Vice President in 2018.

“We’re looking forward to the legislative session and seeing how it goes, with all the new changes, and the opportunity to work with other members of the industry to forward the surplus lines association,” Leicht said.

Additionally, Jennifer Mier was named Vice President of TSLA and Amicia Hine was named Secretary/Treasurer.
