Hine Named President, CEO of McClelland & Hine

Amicia Hine has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of McClelland & Hine, Inc. (MHI), a managing general agent and excess and surplus lines broker based in San Antonio, Texas.

Hine has been with MHI since 1994 and has held multiple positions, including Vice President/Specialty Branch Manager. She is a current member of the Texas Surplus Lines Association (TSLA) board of directors and serves as Chair of the TSLA Legislative Committee. She is a legislative committee member for the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices (NAPSLO), as well.

In addition, Lisa Barnes has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer of MHI. Barnes has 35 years’ experience in the insurance industry and has been with MHI for 26 years. She has previously served as a member of the board of directors of the Alamo CPCU Society Chapter.

MHI has been in operation since 1982 and has additional offices in Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta, Georgia.
